The Bernardo family recipes have been across America since the mid-1900s. Sam Bernardo grew up in the restaurant business, perfecting the family recipes, and learning how to successfully operate a business. In the Spring of 1966, he took the family restaurant from Philadelphia to The Bay area. Then, in 1982 Sam Bernardo brought the eclectic Italian recipes right here to Yuma, Arizona. He showed Yuma what his roots had to offer. In the early 2000s, his son, Mark Bernardo, took the family business under his wing. After 36 years in the Foothills of Yuma, Mark, and wife, Tina, expanded, moving Bernardo's to the rapidly growing Fortuna area. Although the shop has undergone a new location and update, the nostalgia still remains. As you enter Bernardo's, it's hard to miss the friendly-local residents and the Bernardo families' best-kept recipes.
